For this project, we created the Wim Care Unit: a modular care unit that was installed next to the existing home and designed to combine comfortable care and independence with privacy and tranquility. This care unit offers a practical and people-centered solution for in-home care.

Care close by, while maintaining independence

Wim Care Unit was conceived as a separate yet connected structure adjacent to the home. This allows care to be provided in close proximity to family, while still providing the resident with their own quiet living space.

This solution is ideal for:

Compact and functional design

The care unit features a clean, compact design with a well-thought-out layout, tailored for daily comfort and accessibility. Everything is designed with a focus on ease of use, clarity, and a safe living environment.

Warm wood finish and a serene appearance

The care unit is finished with vertical wood siding, which creates a warm and homey atmosphere. This choice of materials allows the unit to blend seamlessly with the garden and the existing home, without feeling clinical or temporary.

The window openings are carefully positioned to:
