For this project, we created a large-scale modular structure consisting of 8 DS Boxes measuring 6 × 2.5 meters. By combining stacked units, an exterior staircase, and terraces, we created a two-story, open, and multifunctional building with a striking architectural design.

Clear two-story structure

The configuration consists of:

• DS Boxes on the ground floor, combined to form spacious, transparent interior spaces
• DS Boxes on the upper floor, accessible via an external metal staircase
• Multiple terraces on the upper level, surrounding the upper units

This configuration ensures a clear functional separation and maximum utilization of the available space.

External staircase as a circulation and design element

The external staircase forms a central part of the layout. By opting for external circulation:

• the interior space remains completely open and flexible
• a clear and logical flow is created
• the whole space takes on an open and industrial look

The staircase connects seamlessly to the terraces and the DS Boxes above.

Terraces as an extension of the space

Spacious terraces are integrated on the upper level, serving as:

• outdoor space
• meeting and lounge areas
• an additional experiential layer atop the modular structure

The terraces enhance comfort and make the layout suitable for a variety of uses where indoor and outdoor spaces flow into one another.

Maximum transparency and natural light

All DS Boxes feature large glass panels, which provide:

• abundant natural light
• a visual connection with the surroundings
• an open and accessible appearance

The transparency makes the building feel light and spacious, despite its scale and the number of units.

Modular, flexible, and future-oriented

As with all DS Box solutions, this configuration is also:

• fully modular
• configurable
• expandable or reconfigurable
• suitable for temporary or long-term use

The DS Boxes can later be:

• be stacked differently
• be used for a different function
• be moved to a new location

This makes the setup particularly sustainable and flexible.

Rapid construction without traditional building methods

Thanks to the DS Box system, this large-scale structure could be built quickly, without traditional construction methods. This is a major advantage for projects where speed, flexibility, and reusability are crucial.
