For this project, we created a clubhouse with a bar using repurposed shipping containers. By stacking the containers and combining them with an internal staircase and an open bar area, we created a spacious and distinctive gathering place with a distinct industrial look.

Industrial concept with a warm interior

The clubhouse is designed as a two-story container structure, deliberately preserving the raw aesthetic of the shipping containers. The warm color scheme and the use of wood and lighting create a balance between industrial character and a cozy atmosphere.

This combination makes the clubhouse suitable as:

• a bar and gathering space
• club or association building
• temporary hospitality area
• internal relaxation area

Open bar area on the ground floor

The ground floor is designed as an open bar and lounge area, featuring:

• a central bar
• high tables and seating
• ample circulation space

The bar area is spacious and well-organized, making it suitable for groups and heavy use.

Upper level with a view of the bar

An additional lounge area was created on the upper level, with a view of the ground floor. The open cutout in the container wall provides:

• a visual connection between both levels
• a sense of spaciousness
• additional natural light

This upper level can be used as a lounge, seating area, or additional club space.

Internal staircase as a connecting element

The two levels are connected via an internal metal staircase, which:

• ensures smooth and safe circulation
• is protected from the elements
• reinforces the industrial character of the whole

By placing the staircase inside, the exterior of the building remains sleek and compact.

Technically and functionally converted

The shipping containers were completely technically converted for their new function. The following factors were taken into account:

• lighting and electricity
• bar and catering facilities
• safety and stability
• intensive use

As a result, the containers function as fully-fledged indoor spaces.

Modular and flexible

As with all container solutions, this clubhouse is also:

• modular in design
• expandable with additional containers
• customizable in layout
• suitable for temporary or long-term use

The containers can be reused later in a different configuration or at a different location.
