Activation Space: Modular Shipping Container for Public Engagement
For this project, we created an activation booth inside a converted shipping container, designed to encourage public interaction and maximize visibility in public spaces. The container was used as a temporary booth in an urban setting and demonstrates how a compact container can be transformed into a professional and inviting activation space.
Open container with maximum interaction
The shipping container features a fully open front, allowing the interior and exterior to blend seamlessly. This ensures:
- a low barrier to entry for passersby
- smooth interaction with the public
- an open and accessible appearance
The open structure makes the booth ideal for temporary promotions and campaigns in busy urban environments.
Integrated screens for communication
Digital screens are integrated at both ends of the container, serving as:
- information carriers
- a visual communication tool
- visibility enhancer
These screens attract attention from a distance and support the content of the activation.
Warm materials in a sleek container frame
The shipping container combines a dark, sleek steel frame with wooden accents at the top of the structure. This choice of materials:
- softens the industrial character of the container
- creates a warm and polished look
- allows the booth to blend harmoniously into the urban environment
The combination of wood, steel, and glass gives the activation stand a contemporary look.
Transparency and natural light
Thanks to the large glass panels, the container remains:
- light and open
- visually connected to its surroundings
- attractive, even outside of active moments
The transparency makes the booth recognizable as a public activation, without feeling closed off or solid.
Suitable for temporary urban use
This activation stand is particularly suitable for:
- urban campaigns
- temporary public campaigns
- events and seasonal activations
- information booths in public spaces
The compact footprint allows for placement in squares and pedestrian zones.
Modular, temporary, and reusable
As with all shipping container solutions, this activation booth is also:
- modular in design
- quick to set up and take down
- reusable for other projects
- flexibly customizable in layout and finish
The container can be reused later for a different purpose or at a different location.
Quick installation without traditional construction
Thanks to the use of a shipping container, this booth could be made operational quickly, without heavy construction work. This is a significant advantage in historic or busy urban environments.
